Essence of Eve

first snow in Princeton N.J. 1969

Some quotes from my novels: “Moist Petals” and “Flutter of Wing”

Life is too short to waste and too long to ignore.

The most needed sensation for every human heart,
A loving recognition from another loving heart.
——

We close a chapter, but friendship leaves a mark.
The book is still open, with a silky bookmark.
——

You never know a smile on your lips,
May grace the hope in someone’s heart.
You never know when sharing your joy,
May help someone to find a song.
You never know when a touch of your hand,
May spread some wings to fly beyond.

Essence

The dewdrops of your blessings
on the petals of my life,
O God! Give me wisdom
to Receive, Embrace, and Let go.
——

If a touch can electrify, a word can pacify.
A whisper can awaken; a look can mesmerize.
Then faith and trust bring winsome songs,
and ring the bells to wake up the souls.
——
Let’s hold hands and ride through the storm.
Hold tight! So, no flow can sway you off.
Pray, o my friend! With all your might,
and the cosmos will unite to make things right.
